From your kitchen to NASA, it is hard to imagine what we would do without ceramics. In your kitchen alone, there are kitchen tiles, dishes and platters. Think about the bathroom where you will find the sink, toilet and tub. The word ceramic actually comes from a Greek word that means pottery but as we all know, the ceramics we know today have evolved and splintered into tons of other meanings and uses.
